Virul's journey is quite different than most. He was brought up by a working single mother, and his beginnings were humble. Virul Weerasooriya is an aspiring multi-disciplinary creator of passionate, curious and exquisite things. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, currently living in the great city of Melbourne, Australia.

However, he has always been a creative soul. As a youngster, Virul was absolutely relentless about creating something of himself. The moment of purpose hit him at a very young age, when he picked up a camera for the first time and found his true calling in life. Photography became an escape – a way to capture beautiful moments and create art that told stories and disconnected him from the complexities of life.

Virul wasn't content with just capturing images. He wanted to become a multi-disciplinary creator, which invoked the inner entrepreneurial mindset in him. In partnership with his best mate, he started his own not-for-profit event photography organisation at the age of 13. Since then, Virul has continued to hone his creative skills and expand his expertise in various fields such as design, commercial photography, and video production.

Virul's creative pursuits also extend to his personal life where he loves to explore and experiment with different art forms such as design, cinematography, and even culinary arts. He finds inspiration in the world around him and is always seeking new ways to express his ideas and emotions through his creations.

Moreover, Virul's inspiration and drive for his creative pursuits were also fueled by his desire to connect with his father. Through his journey, he has not only discovered his true calling but has also found a way to overcome his personal struggles and inspire others to do the same.

As Virul's journey continues to unfold, he remains grounded in his passion and dedication for his craft. Currently, he has several larger pursuits in the works, including collaborating with other artists to create immersive art installations and venturing into the world of creative arts.
